-Today(or yesterday) you will receive a vocabulary sheet to be passed in on day of test next wednesday(test day) This outlines the major theory items from the first unit.
Lab Set One Lab 1/5 Metric lab-This lab involves working with measurement af area, finding the density of a shape and some challenging conversions Lab 2/6 Elements versus Compounds-This experiment involves using heat to break down compounds. You will find that it has a flaw in terms of trying to break down all compounds. You will become an expert at using the centigram balance. Lab 3/7 Candle Lab-This lab involves making observations and trying different techniques for dealing with candle wax combustion. Lab 4/8 Separation of Matter-This experiment involves using the varatious methods for separating matter to separate the components in an unknown mixture. Acuracy will be very important in this experiment
